Internally clean & tight & have found no other internal markings (but obviously have not scrutinised every page!). Ward & Rivers co-edited Vols 1-3, Rivers & Myers Vols.4-5, Myers alone thereafter. Somewhat intermittent appearance, esp. after 1913, meant that some volumes covered more than one year (and in any case full years ran across calender years). An extremely important run covering the first modern phase of British Psychology and the British Psychological Society (which was radically re-organised in 1919). Virtually all the 'big names' in the discipline at the time (such as the editors, McDougall, Lloyd Morgan & Spearman) appear, often several times, plus early appearances by e.g. Flugel, T.H.Pear, psychoanalyst Ernest Jones, F.C.Bartlett and William Brown. Vol.2 inc. James Fraser's copiously illustrated 'New Visual Illusion of Direction' introducing a 'spiral illusion' and apparent distortions of a circle. Also included reports of B.P.S. meetings etc. Despite minor cover faults an excellent and still attractive set, one may though regret absence of bound-in orig. covers. Nett weight is c. 9.2 kg so allow for substantial, if slightly negotiable, postage.
