Flexible cloth. Condition: Very Good+. 4th Edition. This is a small format book with flexible cloth covers. The book is in Very Good+ condition and was likely issued without a dust jacket. There is some light fraying to the edges of the book covers. The top rear cover by the top spine joint has a patch of discoloration. The text pages are mostly clean and bright. There are a couple of edge nicks to the text pages. There is a previous owner's name on the front endpaper, and an inked name on the front cover of the book. "Moreover it is only designed to give a knowledge of the conversational part of the language, and does not go in for its writing form, the difference between the two being much wider than in European languages. It is however hoped that the student will, by following this book with deligence and intelligence, be able to prepare himself for a deeper and higher study of the language.".
