The main point of interest in this work is Henry A. Murray's invited opening address 'Prospect for Psychology' which is actually an account of a mescaline trip taken under his then Harvard colleague Timothy Leary's guidance. Murray was 68 years old at this point. Leary also addressed the Congress but his talk is not in this volume.…
