Hardcover. Condition: New. First Edition. A lot of pop-ups for the money, eight in all, including one of the Brooklyn Bridge, Prospect Park, Coney Island, and wouldn't you know, also the Brooklyn Museum! And really, there are nine pop-ups, since there is a mini pop-up accompanying the Museum one. Other novelty elements in top of the pop-ups -- a shallow shadow box on the cover with a movable piece, flaps with movable pieces when lifted, etc. 8vo. 23.5 by 20 cm. Seven internal leaves. The book was created in conjunction with an exhibition on the genre of pop-up books held at the Brooklyn Museum, an exhibit in which the Royalty in the World of Pop-Ups was involved, including Ellen Rubin, Ann Monanaro and Robert Sabuda, and the involvement of Maurice Sendak speaks for itself. Various (illustrator).
