Hardcover. Condition: Good. Mulready, W; Cope, C (illustrator). Re-bound in quarter vellum with plain paper covered boards, title label to spine, new endpapers. Boards rubbed and worn on corners and edges. Name stamp to ffep.Pages untrimmed. Illustrated with frontispiece and 4 plates, these 4 have tissue guards. An additional plate has been bound in after the title-page which is on thicker paper and darker print and printed on edge "Printed by T. M. Graveley Bookseller LEEDS" This copy has on first blank prelim the Inscription " Norrisson Scatcherd Morley - 1829. This book I give to my daughter Mary Scatcherd. N.S." Norrison Scatcherd was the local Morley antiquarian and author. Text and original illustrations clean and bright.
