Esemplare privo del dorso, con tracce d'uso limitate alla legatura e mancante di 11 tavole, peraltro molto marginoso, ben impresso ed in ottimo stato di conservazione. Sono presenti le tavole XI-XXII, XXIIV-L. Suite di disegni che riproducono i capolavori pittorici presenti agli Uffizi, pubblicata in modo del tutto autonomo dal disegnatore ed incisore fiorentino Stefano Mulinari (Firenze 1741 - ca. 1799). Precedentemente infatti le bibliografie menzionano un'opera in 100 fogli cui partecipò anche il maestro di Mulinari: Andrea Scacciati. Opera dedicata a Pietro Lopoldo Principe reale d'Ungheria e di Boemia, Arciduca d'Austria e Granduca di Toscana. Cfr. Bénézit e Brunet III, 1938.

La stampa, che à ritagliata oltre l'impronta della lastra, reca in basso a destra la firma dell'incisore, Stefano Mulinari e, a sinistra, il nome dell'inventore della composizione, Guercino da Cento. L'opera apparteneva, in origine, alla tavola n. XXXVII della raccolta "Disegni originali d'eccellenti pittori esistenti nella Real Galleria di Firenze", che Stefano Mulinari pubblica a Firenze nel 1774. Formato: Acquaforte di cm 31x18 su foglio di cm 33x20.

Each Plate Has Small Glue Marks On Reverse Where They Were Tipped In To An Album. Stefano Mulinari (1741-) Studied Printmaking Techniques Under A. Scacciati. He Then Worked As An Assistant To This Master, Engraving A Series Of Plates Based Upon Old Master Drawings In The Florentine Collection. This Series Consisted Of One Hundred Plates. Upon The Death Of Scacciati, Mulinari Completed The Remaining Sixty Engravings By Himself And Secured A Strong Reputation For His Art, Which Combined Etching, Engraving And Aquatinting, Usually In Sepia Tones. Mulinari Devoted Himself To Engraving Drawings From The Italian Renaissance. In 1775 He Published A Set Of Fifty Engravings Dealing With The Art Of The Earliest Masters. This Was Followed In 1780 By A Series Depicting The Paintings And Drawings Of The Great Italian Schools, Entitled, Saggio Delle Cinque Scuole Di Pittura Italiana. Outstanding Etchings After The Designs Of Leonardo, Raphael, Caravaggio, Parmigiano And Guercino Were Created By Mulinari. In Total, Stefano Mulinari Published Over Two Hundred Original Etchings, Including Thirteen Based Upon The Drawings Of Guercino.
