The cover story presents Daniel da Cruz and Tor Eigeland's beautifully illustrated first-hand account accompanying a convoy to the site of a planned Aramco exploratory well "in a remote corner of the Empty Quarter". Other content includes Kathe Tanous (Mrs Mooslie)'s sketches of the Middle East; life in a Palestinian refugee camp seen through the eyes of Ibrahim Ali Badran, a farmer who fled Tel Aviv in 1948; the rescue and reconstruction of an Egyptian temple at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; and the 9th installment from Wallace Stegner's "Discovery! The Story of Aramco Then" with illustrations by Donald Thompson. Photographers include Aramco's own Tor Eigeland.
