One of Mrs Strang's Unbreakable Books, contains 6 boards featuring 2 illustrations bound together at spine. Illustrators include Govey, Brock, Sowerby. Sadly although the board were indeed unbreakable the top edges have suffered a liquid spillage but does not impinge on pictures. Front cover generally clean, rear has scuffing.

In overall good used condition with some minor signs of age, handling and storage - paper-covered boards rubbed to edges and slightly darkened to spine with chips to paper at spine head. Binding tight and appears little read. Internally clean, no annotation or inscriptions - school prize plate to second front endpaper dated 1927; toning to page-ends and the odd spot of foxing here and there but text, illustrated endpapers and illustrations bright and clear throughout - several of the black and while illustrations have been neatly coloured in.
