Corners bumped with a bit of cardboard exposed there and at places along edges of boards, string marks on top edge, some drop marks, foxing along edges of textblock, on endpapers and diagrams, lower corners of a few leaves bumped, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp and unmarked; probably never really read. Sports.

First edition. "With 2 diagrams". Original tan cloth, lettered in black; hint of fading at edges; endpapers tanned where not in contact with jacket; contents clean and tight. Decorative (shuttlecock) tan green and white dust jacket lacking 1" piece at rear, and 1/2" across spine, with a few other chips and edge-tears. A near fine copy in very good dust jacket.
