Original printed boards over cloth spine, mildly worn, but considering its age, it is in great condition, with bottom corner a bit worn. 40pp, no markings or bookplates, but there is a recipe for Tapioca Soup, which has been neatly tipped onto the rear pastedown. Ewing was the superintendent of the Chicago Training School of Cookery, and this book was to be the first of 4, included books on salads, desserts, and breads. We could locate no other copies of this first edition, and none of the others seem to have been published. Very Scarce.
