The page edges are a little browned with a little light spotting to the bottom edges. Spotting to the front and rear free endpapers but the pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. The jacket has a four inch closed tear running down from the top edge of the rear panel which also has two other inch long closed tears, a one inch tear to the left edge, two small nicks to the bottom edge and some discolouration. There is chipping at the top and bottom of the spine and the corners with a little loss. Jacket design by Cecil W. Bacon. First printing.
