Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the history and complexities of the calendar, exploring the reasons behind its seemingly illogical structure. The author takes readers on a journey through time, tracing the evolution of our current calendar system from its roots in ancient Egypt and Rome. We learn how the influence of the moon, the need for agricultural accuracy, and the rise of Christianity have shaped the calendar we use today. Throughout this historical exploration, the author highlights the shortcomings of the current system, arguing that its inconsistencies create numerous inconveniences in our daily lives. The author proposes a radical solution: a rational calendar with months of equal length, ending on a consistent day of the week. The book offers a compelling case for how a reformed calendar could streamline commerce, improve efficiency in various industries, and simplify our understanding of time. It is a thought-provoking examination of the calendar's impact on our lives, and a bold call for a more logical system that could benefit generations to come. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
