The author has mainstream titles in an academic field (chairs prestigious design schools, etc.) but quotes mavens of mythology such as Giedion and Mircea Eliade, and even John Michell on how to "civilize" land-masses. The very first thing to do, he avers, is to give the land in question a NAME. His texts approach strange levels such as dowsing and magnetic nodes.

Boards lightly rubbed, with minor speckling (like small stars) to bottom inside corner. 49 sketches with annotations and 'Geofacts' for each. Footnotes & bibliography in rear. In the introduction Morrish identifies the loss to earth and man, of the idea of the 'cosmic mountain', and the mounds and hills that define space and place. The terms, becoming merely scientific and geological definitions, Morrish is about reclaiming these connections to the 'Mythic Mountain'.
