Faded marbling to edges of pages. 968 pages remaining, q-2 of index is missing, with two engravings, one to frontispiece and one before preface. Cover slightly shelf worn. Corners lost to frontispiece, and owner's pencil inscription. Title page hadsmissing cut out 6" x less than 1" to top. First page of preface off-set. Browning to small number of pages at start of book and brown staining to last six pages. First page of index lost corners and second page of index and any subsequent pages lost. some foxing, dust damage, creasing and minor loss to corners to bulk of text. book weighs 2.9 kg., additional postage will be required.
