Arms of the city of Amsterdam stamped in gilt at the center of the boards. Framing fillet with fleurons in the corners, framing frieze. Edges gilt. Some rubbing. Gilt slightly faded. Handsome copy. * Study on the sources and history of the earliest languages (Phoenician, Canaanite, Hebrew, Greek.). Notable for numerous passages in Hebrew and Greek.
