Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book documents the proceedings of the Woolhope Naturalists Field Club, an organization founded in 1851 to encourage the study of the natural history of the county of Herefordshire, England. Originally formed to investigate the geology of surrounding areas, including the Woolhope Valley of Elevation, The Club's work expanded to encompass a wide range of natural phenomena, including the local flora and fauna. Throughout the book, the author reflects on the importance of field observation and research in advancing scientific knowledge. The author also includes contributions from notable authorities of the time, including Sir Roderick Murchison, who praised the club's dedication to scientific investigation. The book is a valuable resource for those interested in the history of natural science and the study of Herefordshire's natural environment. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
