The collected letters and correspondence of David Herbert Lawrence, an English novelist, short story writer, poet, playwright, literary critic, travel writer, essayist, and painter. Lawrence is noted for his modernist works reflecting on modernity, social alienation and industrialization, while championing sexuality, vitality and instinct. With four of his most famous novels being the subject of censorship trials. Volume one contains a guide of who's who in the letters and correspondence from 23rd October 1903 to 12th December 1920.
