(12,2 x 5,7 inch).This item is hard to date, but could very well be a 17th.c. drawing based on an famous etching by Calllot 'Les Supplices' (The Punishments), wh…ich Callot made before 1630. Ref: Meaune 665; Lieure 1402.Made by 'monogram COR.' after 'Jacques Callot'. Jacques Callot (Nancy; 1592-1635) was a famous baroque printmaker and draftsman from Lorraine / present day France. He was active in Italy employed by Cosimo II de Medici until 1621. He was very influential and popular with his prints.Condition: Fair, given age. Overall light soiling. Parchment a bit uneven.
