In very good dark red cloth boards, with gilt titles to spine. The boards are flat and very tight and with a few very small pale marks to top, front… edge. The end papers are lightly foxed. The text block is firmly attached to the boards and even. The cut edges are a little foxed and the pages are clean. With black and white frontispiece engraved by Stephen Gooden. No dedications etc. Very good condition. In good plus dark pink dust jacket with black leaf decoration to front with white titles. The jacket is marked around the spine and with small closed tears on the top and tail ends. Price clipped. In protective, removable sleeve.
