LIMITED EDITION (to 200 copies) soft-cover, staple-bound in paper, is in NF condition, having an almost unnoticeable handling dimple in center of front cover; a tiny dark mark on back cover; two tiny marks on title-page; very faint sun-fading to back cover near spine. Included with this item is an enclosure card whose top right corner has some darkening, which reads: "A keepsake for the joint meeting of the ROXBURGHE & ZAMORANO CLUBS in Los Angeles, September 23 and 24, 1978. Presented by Ray A. Billington, Carey S. Bliss, Edwin H. Carpenter, French Fogle, James Thorpe, Daniel H. Woodward". The booklet is a 30 page history of early vaccination procedures in the then Spanish-held California, privately printed for the members of the Zamorano and Roxburghe book clubs, of Los Angeles and San Francisco, respectively. Booklet is illustrated with a b&w reproduction of a painting of Edward Jenner as frontispiece, and a section of photographs of an original manuscript at the back of booklet.
