First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First edition (colophon). Original red cloth, pictorial paste-down on front board, illustrated with color plates by Mead Schaeffer (all present). Hardcover, very good, no dustjacket. Some soil and scuffing on boards, spine faded, approximately 1/8th inch fraying at head and foot, corners bumped. Internally, foxing on first and last few leaves and occasionally in-text, 1/4 inch speck of paper from first free front endpaper stuck on paste-down front endpaper, otherwise tight, clean, relatively crisp and unmarked. Adventures of survivors of a shipwreck. Modern first; novel.
