VG+/F-. 8vo. original green textured paper boards (a couple of early leaves crumpled & a little torn by paper clip, now removed) in dustwrapper (price-clipped, edges a little rubbed with trifling wear); pp. 208, with illustrations + endpaper map. A near fine copy. Warmly inscribed by the author to Norris McWhirter (Guinness Book of Records), with a note 'Made in the Summer of '52 when the US$ was #1 in the World!'. The author's business address label ('Christopher's Travel Discoveries') is loosely enclosed. Signed by Author.

Condition: Very Good. First edition hard back binding in publisher's original bottle green cloth covers, gilt title and gilt insignia to the front cover 'Production of the Fine Arts in Scotland 1868'. Folio 17'' x 12''. Contains six paper guarded steel engraved plates on thick card stock with full page of text opposite each. Just a little fraying in a couple of places of the cloth to the top front gutter, the text block and engravings are without any foxing or age toning to the paper or the guards, being in Very Good clean and fresh condition.
