Add to basketpaperback. Condition: very good. Written by Chapman Mortimer, Gladys Hill and John Huston. Mimeographed typescript. 143 pages, printed on rectos only, including many blue re-write sheets, dated Sept. 9 & 21, 1966, and two loose dialog change sheets, dated Nov. 2, 1966. Brad-bound in stiff manilla wrappers with a die-cut opening…showing the title. The wrappers are considerably worn, but the contents are fine. A bizarre tale of sex, betrayal and perversion, taken from the 1941 novel, and starring Elizabeth Taylor, Marlon Brando, Brian Keith & Julie Harris, and directed by John Huston. Brando was a substitute for Montgomery Clift, who died before filming had started. One critic commented on the film, asking "Is it camp, heartfelt, or just terrible?".
