Size: Frame = 41 x 32cm. Gilt wood frame with yellow cloth mount, glazed. McCormack is photographed full-length in the character of Don Ottavio, probably his finest role, form Mozart's Don Giovanni. Signature: "John Count McCormack 1884" on cutting from a music sheet.

Count John Francis McCormack was an Irish lyric tenor celebrated for his performances of the operatic and popular song repertoires, and renowned for his diction and breath control. He was also a Papal Count. McCormack became a naturalized American citizen before returning to live in Ireland.
