Heavy edge wear, corner chip with loss at bottom outer corner of back cover, gift inscription in ink, previous owner's names in ink, edge chip on half title, cracked in several places, some foxing, all color plates on heavy grey stock present and very nice, Good Minus. Not a collectable copy but a nice reading copy.

The front hinge is slightly tender. Slight shelf wear with a few minor marks to the boards. The spine shows some age darkening. Slight foxing, mainly to the preliminary pages. Good condition.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Written and illustrated by the author. Published by Clarke & Sherwell. Undated but known to have been produced in the early 1910's. Size: 17.5 x 16.5 cms or 7 x 6 1/2 inches. Brown paper boards with a coloured pastedown image on the front. The pictures within are in black and red. Condition: Very good. The boards are clean and slightly worn. There is a little loss at the top of the spine and a small amount of damage at the base. The binding still holds together well. The pastedown is creased at the top right corner. The pages within are a little browned with some faint transference of the image from one page to the other; but the contents are otherwise clean and fresh. There is no jacket.

Dec Cloth Boards. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Mulliner, May (illustrator). Boards have only the lightest of wear and remain in clean and clear condition, white boards with a gilt image of a jester. Gutters weak and cracked, foxing throughout (images unaffected, protected by tissue guards), pages clean and tidy, includes tipped in letter from Buckingham Palace to owner (no scans of letter). Size: 4to.

Unknown Binding. Condition: Acceptable. Ex-library book, usual markings. Well read copy with some wear to spine and book covers, with colouring of page edges due to age. Still very useable. Quick dispatch from UK seller.
