Condition: Near Fine. Tokyo 1904 first edition Ogawa. Oblong 4to., photograph album of views of Japan. Unpaginated (177 ff.) Each photo is identified with facing text in English and brief Japanese identification beneath. Includes a large color foldout map of Japan. Gold silk binding with deep maroon brocade cloth on boards with three bouquets depicted on front and two large flamboyant floral roosters on rear, lovely and delicate gilt patterned end paper. All edges very bright gilt. Binding totally secure; no cracking or loosening inside or out. Cloth is in amazing condition - no wear, no tears and no stains. Near Fine. Rare. Beautiful book. Pictures available on request.
