Massinger's insights on social and political views has found a new audience at the end…of the 20th century. His play "A New Way to Pay Old Debts" continued periodically to be revived in the theatre. John Ford, on the other hand, is seen as having anticipated the modern world. his most famous play is: "tis a pitty [sic] shee's [sic] a whore" is his most famous play and has been revived in both play and in movie. Bound in 3/4 brown polished calf over light brown cloth, slightly raised bands gilt, maroon spine label gilt with a chip, previous owner's bookplate. A very good copy with some spots of rubbing or scratches.
