These essays aim to promote study of troubled academic Christopher Brennan (Associate Professor of German and comparative languages, University of Sydney). Some essays cover the various fields where he made significant contributions: poetry, Australian literature, European languages and literature, and notably religious thought and sentiment - perhaps as a substitute for his Catholic faith he lost as an undergraduate.
