Vol I with old repair to front hinge, and lacks rfep. Period pencil pos to ffeps ["J. Appleton"]. Usual foxing. Overall, a Good set of a scarce US editon of an early Marryat novel. Original publisher's rose-colored cloth-backed drab paper boards. Printed paper title labels to spine 1st US edition (American Imprints 19911).
