Moderate edgewear, not much soil or surface wear but gilt on spine no longer present and gilt on front cover only about one-fourth present. A few small cover spots. Interior generally very clean. Author begins with his life's background: born 1879, childhood Hancock, Michigan, Spanish-American War, prospected for gold in British Columbia, ranch work near Castle Rock, Washington. Returned to Hancock, married, raised a family in Minneapolis where he worked for Western Electric until his conversion experience in 1923.
