Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket As Issued. First Edition; First Printing. A First Edition published in 2008 by the Book Club of Texas in Dallas. Unless you are a subscriber you may have missed this one. It is signed and inscribed to author Bill Goetzmann by the editor of these Civil War letters, Paula Mitchell Marks, and dated 3/26/09. She also wrote the introduction and Epilogue. The book is in a limited edition of only 450 copies. The book has been bound by Don Hurst of Custom Bookbinders in Austin, Texas. It is bound in a tan silk cloth and issued without a dust jacket. The Book is in Fine Condition. The following was written by Mary Adams Maverick to her son, Lewis Antonio Maverick, on February 21, 1864: "I hope you are quite well again. Oh, when will the weary war be over? God hasten peace and bless you, dear Lewis". 235 pages. ; 7 1/4 in. x 10 1/4 in.
