Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. First impression in lovely clean and bright condition with no inscriptions. Fresh looking lime green cloth boards with crisp title lettering on the spine. There is slight knocking at the bottom corner tips of the boards which is noticeable on closer inspection, but not at all severe. Internally the pages are clean throughout, albeit with a little toning to the end papers and page block edge. The dust jacket is still pretty bright although price clipped and some edge wear, aprox 3 cm closed tear from the top edge of the front cover (now skilfully repaired by me with acid free "invisible" tape) and perhaps a touch sunned. Foxing showing to the white areas on the back cover. In all a very presentable copy.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. VG condition book with dust jacket. Clipped DJ is clean, has fresh colours and has little wear to edges. Book has clean and bright contents, flat-signed by author to title page.
Hardback. Condition: Good. When Howard Spring died in 1965, letters from all over the world poured into his Cornish home. The novelist whose books had sold millions of copies had made friends among his readers everywhere. His wife had now written an affectionate memoir of him, drawing largely upon his own autobiographical writings, some of which have not been published before. No one is better qualified to do so for throughout their long and happy marriage Mrs Spring shared her husbands work, typing every bit of his writing. South Wales, Manchester and Cornwall- the places he knew best- are also the settings of his books. Mrs Spring now fills in many intimate details of her husband's life in all three places, and relates his background and experience to such well loved novels as My Son, My Son! and Fame is the Spur. DJ. DJ worn, page edges foxed otherwise good. 208 pages.
Condition: Good. Most items will be dispatched the same or the next working day. A copy that has been read but remains in clean condition. All of the pages are intact and the cover is intact and the spine may show signs of wear. The book may have minor markings which are not specifically mentioned. A good condition book including a dust jacket with minor loss to the edges.
