Rare. - Marcin Berdyszak (1964-) - Polish contemporary artist, involved in installation and multimedia projects, professor of fine arts and rector of the University of Arts in Poznan in the years 2008-2016. He studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznan (19831988). He obtained diplomas in painting from the studio of professor Wlodzimierz Dudkowiak and in sculpture from the studio of professor Maciej Szankowski. In 1989 he became an employee of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan. In 2005 he received the academic title of professor of fine arts. He started running the studio of educational creativity workshops at the Faculty of Artistic Education and (together with his father Jan Berdyszak) the studio of sculpture and spatial activities. He has participated in numerous group and individual exhibitions, both in Poland (including the Grodzka Gallery in Lublin in 1992, the ON Gallery in Poznan in 1995 and 1999, the International Art Centre in Poznan in 1997, the Nad Wisla Gallery in Torun in 1993 and 1996, the CSW Zamek Ujazdowski in Warsaw in 1997 and 2001, and the BWA in Wroclaw in 1999), as well as abroad (Slovakia, Germany, the USA, Finland and Mexico).
