Quarto 10" x 8" xvi, 510 [pp]. Monochrome photographic illustrations on glossy silk art paper. Lord Harris was an English amateur cricketer, mainly active from 1870 to 1889, who played for Kent and England as captain of both teams. He had a political career from 1885 to 1900 and was for much of his life a highly influential figure in cricket administration through the offices he held with Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). From the private library of Lord Harris with his single Lord Harris 'H' and crown motif bookplate to upper paste down. Sporadic small surface marks to covers, slight spine slant, light foxing to end papers, 10 mm chip to foot of spine and in Very Good condition. Member of the P.B.F.A. SPORT [Cricket].

Vertical crease to the first issue, mild rubbing and stress creases to the set, a nearly fine to fine set with the exception of the January 1932 issue which is good only (19770).

Contains 80 pp with archive photographs throughout with fine local views and events of 1931, Lord Harris' portrait with early recollections of Canterbury Cricket Week from his manuscript. Portraits of Kent Cricketers, Mr Clifford Wheeler's 5th Annual. The 12 calendar months are produced on pink sugar blotting paper and dispersed equally throughout the book. In Very Good condition.
