Condition: Very Good. First edition hard back binding in publisher's original azure blue cloth covers, black lettering to spine, black lettering and Invicta motif to upper panel, top edge gilt. Quarto 10" x 8" xvi, 510 [pp]. Monochrome photographic illustrations on glossy silk art paper. Lord Harris was an English amateur cricketer, mainly active from 1870 to 1889, who played for Kent and England as captain of both teams. He had a political career from 1885 to 1900 and was for much of his life a highly influential figure in cricket administration through the offices he held with Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). From the private library of Lord Harris with his single Lord Harris 'H' and crown motif bookplate to upper paste down. Sporadic small surface marks to covers, slight spine slant, light foxing to end papers, 10 mm chip to foot of spine and in Very Good condition. Member of the P.B.F.A. SPORT [Cricket].
