[Venezia-Raro] (Cm. 15,4) bella legatura in pieno marocchino rosso bruno, secolo XIX, piatti ornati da cornice a secco con fregi angolari e piccolo fleuron al centro, dorso con filetti in oro e doppio tassello ( titolo sbiadito). -- cc. 4 nn., cc. 142 + 2 cc. bianche. Elegante corsivo, capolettera figurati. Dopo la dedica è l' indice con i 78 nomi dei principi veneti. Da p. 100 a p. 142 contiene le vite di L. Lauretani, A. Grimani, A. Gritti e Petri Landi, scritte dal Girelli. Edizione veramente rara di questa opera celebrata e più volte ristampata. La nostra, non porta il nome del tipografo, Andrea Arrivabene, che è identificato per la sua marca tipografica con il pozzo e il motto sui tre lati superiori. La marca del nostro esemplare è una variante, ma non è quella riprodotta in ZAPPELLA fig. 981 e ASCARELLI-MENATO fig. 260. Vecchio restauro all' angolo bianco della prima carta, peraltro esemplare bellissimo, nitido e fresco. Manca a molta bibliografia consultata, compreso BM. STC., BRUNET, CICOGNA, SORANZO e CHOIX; GRAESSE IV 381, ha una edizione stessa data ma titolo diverso?! -- ADAMS M 531; PLATNER 417:"raro"; LOZZI 6036 in nota.[f23].
