Guscetti" of "Chicago, Illinois, October 8, 1938" in red or black--on title page & many on the backs of maps: otherwise clean; a scarce though moderately and uniformly age-toned copy (most toning to page margins) having numerous illustrations in FINE/NF condition, which include 85 partli-colored maps, 1 B&W panorama, plus 22 B&W illustrations.

Reproduced photographs of buildings by Le Corbusier, Ivan Leonidov, Bohuslav Fuchs, Josef Havli?ek and Karel Honzík, Boris Velikovsky, Marcel Breuer. The magazine was published in three issues between 19291931, featuring modern architecture especially Bauhaus buildings and architects. Karel Teige was one of the most important figures of the Czech avant-garde modernism of the 1920s and 1930s. He was the founder of Dev?tsil, the association of the Czech avant-garde artists. Teige was an active participant in CIAM and he gave guest lectures at the Bauhaus in Dessau from 1929 to 1930. . Minor tears at edges. Otherwise in very good condition. First edition.
