Classeur in-4° contenant un article retraçant l'histoire de la galerie Taptoe (1955-1957), paru en 1979 dans la revue bimestrielle belge Openbaar Kunstbezit Vlaanderen (OKV). Texte en néerlandais (p. 123 à 164). 9 illustrations en couleurs à pleine page. Correction et remarques manuscrites. Deu…x feuillets manuscrits au début de l'ouvrage : le sommaire, et un bel envoi autographe signé de Piet de Groof à Joseph Noiret (1927-2012), cofondateur de CoBrA et historiographe fidèle du mouvement : « A Joseph Noiret, ce petit livre sur Taptoe et sur un épisode exaltant de ma vie. Avec toute mon admiration pour le grand poète, et révolutionnaire des années d'après-guerre. 4 mai 1980 Piet (alias Walter Korun) » La galerie Taptoe de Bruxelles était un centre artistique éphémère, mi-galerie expérimentale, mi-café bohème, un havre ou l'on échangeait volontiers sa peinture contre un cordial, et dont la principale raison d'être était d'offrir une alternative à l'art avant-gardiste officiel qui sévissait alors, dans le contexte d'une Belgique manquant cruellement de lieux d'accrochage. Tous les anciens CoBrA y exposèrent leurs oeuvres, collectivement puis individuellement, à commencer par Asger Jorn en mars 1956. Piet de Groof (1931-2014), qui signait ses critiques d'art de son pseudonyme Walter Korun, fut l'un des créateurs de ce lieu cultissime avec les époux Haesaert. Proche des anciens de « feu » CoBrA, il deviendra membre de l'International situationniste avant d'en être exclus par Guy Debord en 1959. Il poursuit en parallèle sa carrière militaire qui le mènera à devenir général de la force aérienne belge chargé de mission pour l'OTAN, gagnant ainsi son surnom de général situationniste.
