The diary opens at Sunderland on 1 February 1915. 1915 is spent at No 3 Camp Corton, Featherstone Park Haltwhistle Northumberland, Sunderland, Houghton Le Spring and Kirkby Malzeard, Near Ripon Yorks. 1916 is the most travelled year, 16 places against 8 in the next busiest, and is spent at Chapelle D'Armentieres, Albert, Tara Valley Albert, Fleurbaix and Erquinghem. 1917 at Hervilly, Arras, Chapelle D'Armentieres, Steenwerck and Villers Brulin. It closes at Hervilly on 31 August 1917. Chapelle D'Armentieres is where it spent longest, 158 days across seven separate stays and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 58 days at No 3 Camp Corton.
