Based on the 1919 novel "L'Atlantide" by French writer Pierre Benoit, and a remake of the 1921 film of the same name by Jacques Feyder. The film was shot in French, German, and English, each version starring Brigitte Helm as the Queen of Atlantis, a secret kingdom underneath the Sahara Desert. Two explorers discover Atlantis accidentally, only to find that the though the queen often takes lost men as lovers, she is quick to make mummies of them.
