As part of the plan for the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the church, "it was decided that an Historical Discourse should be preached by the pastor on the morning of Sunday, February 19th; that all the former pastors then living should be invited to deliver addresses on the evening of that day, and that there should be a social meeting of the congregation, with brief addresses by city pastors and others, on the evening of February 20th, in the Sunday School room." A great congregation of members, former members, and pastors gathered for the two day celebration. Afterward, a request was sent to the Consistory asking that as much of the proceedings as could be secured be printed for permanent preservation. This volume contains a Historical Discourse by Mancius H. Hutton, an Address by David D. Demarest, an Address by Samuel M. Woodbridge, an Address by Chester D. Hartranft and a list of pastors by years of service, a list of elders and deacons by year, and an alphabetical list of members.A very nice copy with some modest general wear. Quite uncommon. Book.
