Grey paper-covered boards with b/w/red paper title sticker on cover; 12 pp. text and 12 tipped-in bw engraving illustrations; tissue sheets covering each etching; This is the second volume of Whistler's etchings and number 32 in the series. Salaman wrote the introduction for the other volume (number 13), but both essays are different. Beautiful reproductions of the etchings, covering a variety of subjects and locations. Salaman's introductory essay, 71, [1] pp. , followed by 50 tipped-in color plates on heavy stock, each with a lettered tissue guard identifying the original print. Contents bright and fresh. Hinges tender with partial splits to the endpapers in the gutters. Mild crimping and rubbing to cloth at spine ends. Still a very handsome surviving example of a collection often encountered in a desultory state. VG+ . Oversize book likely to require additional charges for expedited or international shipping. …
