Monochrome engraved map laid onto linen, folding into 40 sections, with marbled paper backing to two sections forming outer covers, with tiny coloured label showing map areea, no.69. No slip case (perhaps as issued). Scale one mile to on…e inch. Map no. LXIX. Part of the map is taken up by the Wash itself, with sandbanks and shoals, but also shown are the coasts of North-west Norfolk (Hunstanton, Holme etc), the west Norfolk fens bordering the Wash,and the southern coast of Lincolnshire including Boston. Very Good condition: the map is generally clean and sturdy, with some grubby areas to the margins and some browning to folds. The outer covers have some rubbing and a few grubby areas.
