Decorative endpapers for this series by illustrator Milo Winter. First, thus from 1921, translated from the original French by P.S. Allen. Hardcover octavo has blue cloth-covered boards with somewhat faded gilt lettering to front & spine, in 368 pages. Condition is Good: quite clean overall, with random smudges & light soil; binding is strong & square, cracking to rear hinge & title page gutter. Pages show moderate tanning, heavier to edges, unmarked save for former owner's name & address in pencil to ffep, bookplate inside front cover. Moderate rubbing to extremities, with fraying at all corners & both ends of spine. No DJ (missing).
