Less an autobiography than an account of those who influenced him including Tolstoy, Scriabin, Rainer Maria Rilke and Alekander Blok, as well has his own thoughts on various poets and novelists that the author met. I Remember is translated by David Magarshack who also wrote the Preface and Notes. The Essay on "Translating Shakespeare" is translated by Manya Harari.
