Writing from his residence at the Château de Médan, Maeterlinck explains that he has addressed one letter to M. Joseph Aurel and another to M. Milaire (or a similarly named correspondent) regarding the settlement of the stage adaptation rights for Voyage en Italie et en Calabre. As he has not yet received a reply, he asks the recipient, in his capacity as director, to intervene personally with the authors on behalf of this arrangement.
