Soft cover. Condition: Good. Stiff paper wrappers, printed in colors, now quite soiled with a loosening front cover, 5 x 4 inches, publisher's advert on back. The six stories each have their own title page; there are no page numbers, appx. 16 pp. each, or 96 in total. The text is generally clean with infrequent light foxing. Born Clara Du Maxet de Pontigny, the daughter of a French gentleman and English mother, as a young woman she lived for some years in France. A very prolific author, she wrote for the English periodical press under the pseudonym Leopold Wray.
