Cloth. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Illustrated (illustrator). Hard brown boards with bumped corners and spine ends, gilt print on spine is readable and clean, some shelf rubs. Notation fp and inside front cover with tape stain inside front cover, then clean and tight inside, 499pp, nice book. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Hardcover. Condition: Fair. vii, 527, vii, 516 pages. A sound set, very attractively rebound in quarter oatmeal-colored cloth over decorative paper covered boards, with leather spine labels. The bindings are firm and sturdy, paper pattern and color differs between volumes I and II; contents are attractive and unmarked, with only minor foxing. Volume I was bound with new endpapers and with loss of front matter up to and including its frontispiece; volume II retains its half-title and frontispiece, though also bound with new endpapers. While imperfect from a bibliographic standpoint, the set remains useful and quite attractive. We rate it "fair" rather than "very good" owing to the loss to volume I. 1580 grams.
