Unpaginated but circa 80pp, with colour plate frontispiece, six further colour plate illustrations and many full page drawings and drawings in text. Pictorial paper-covered boards with canvas over spine. Grey end…papers. 4to. Covers are worn and a little faded, rubbed at edges, bumped on corners and ends of sunned spine, shelf worn. Text block edges a little toned. Prize presentation plate on front paste down. Front free endpaper has a little offset toning. Some faint and occasional spotting else internally neat and clean.

Edited by Mabel Mackintosh, a British writer of children's fiction. In the original quarter cloth binding with pictorial paper covered boards. Externally, sound with rubbing and light chipping to the extremities resulting in minor loss. Fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound with the title page detached but present. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. Further spotting with minor age toning to the endpapers. Good.
