There is some marking in the margins and on one page two words are highlighted in yellow. I also found a very few sentences in the book underlined in red. There is wear at the head and tail of the spine of the dj and along the bottom edges there is wear a two small tears. All in all, given its age, the work is in better shape than most copies. Softcover. Condition: Near Fine. 2nd. From Wikipedia: Curtis Daniel MacDougall (1903 - 1985) was an American journalist, teacher and writer. He was the author of the influential book Interpretative Reporting (1938), which has been widely cited. William David Sloan has commented that "his many books, articles, and speeches helped set the tone and added to the debate surrounding journalism education for a half century." He authored two skeptical works Hoaxes (1958) and Superstition and the Press (1983), the latter which his family considered his chief work. His book on hoaxes has been described as a classic on the subject. MacDougall defined a hoax as "a deliberately concocted untruth made to masquerade as truth." This copy is near fine in red, yellow, black and white illustrated wrappers. Slight edge wear but no other marks or damage. It is signed by the author on the title page. . GZ26 . Signed.
