Text blocks have marbled edges and marbled endpapers; edges have age-toning and light scuffing; light age-toning, foxing and scuffing throughout; volume 1 has chipping to edges of pages 161-164, a closed tear to inner margin of pages 161-162 (text unaffected,) and a tide mark to lower corner of most leaves.
